July brought a few rough weeks for us. We were very blessed to have so many wonderful family and friends to help us through it all. Olivia did a great job keeping Jeremy company during the Air Show at Elmendorf.
Jeremy was born in Missoula, MT but moved to Alaska when he was three years old. He spent the next 7 years living in small Alaskan villages along the Arctic Ocean where his parents taught school before moving to Anchorage in 1989. After finishing his second year of school at Montana State University, Jeremy decided he had endured all of the full time college he could take and moved to Fairbanks, AK to join the Alaska Air National Guard as an Inflight Refueling Operator. For 6 years he flew all over the world aboard KC-135 aerial refueling tankers while simultaneously attempting to finish his college degree. During that time he met a wonderful girl named Brittany and a relationship began to flourish. In 2005, thanks to some serious tutoring from Brittany, Jeremy finished his bachelors degree and was selected to be a pilot for the Air Guard. In 2007 he moved to Columbus AFB, Mississippi to undergo pilot training where Brittany joined him 2 months later. He is now working as a C-17 pilot at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage and enjoying spending time with his new wife and adopted dog.
The Family
A beautiful evening in Hope AK
Night Out
Brittany
Brittany was born in Anchorage, AK and, with the exception of a few educational "outings", has remained there her whole life. After 4 years in Pullman, WA at Washington State University, Brittany received her commission as an Officer in the the Alaska Air National Guard and then had to decide what to do with her life... Teaching elementary school ran in the family and thus, seemed like a good way to make some money while still getting summers off. Along the way she developed quite a crush on Jeremy. After four years together he's now her best friend and HUSBAND. Since they started dating she received her pilot slot to fly KC-135s at Eielson AFB, moved to Mississippi early because she missed Jeremy, and completed pilot training receiving her Air Force wings. She's now making her transition to the 144th Airlift Squadron at Elemendorf AFB to fly C-130s and working hard on her Masters in Teaching.
